TANQ is proud to announce the completion of its launch team, forging an alchemical combination of multi-disciplinary creatives that encompass game design, art, animation and blockchain. This is galvanised by senior industry executives who have delivered large-scale software solutions for global corporations as well as lead marketing and community development strategy for ‘Unicorn’ tech brands. It’s a very exciting time to be developing hybrid entertainment formats; as a result of the advent of WEB3, Blockchain, Unreal Engine 5, Community Ownership and A.I, we are seeing the proliferation of new ideas and executions, formats and stories. Entire universes are being imagined and built, economies and dynasties are being created and plotted. We, as creators, are pushing the frontiers of what’s possible, integrating new technologies to breathe life into virtual environments, and create new forms of art, communication and commerce. Some will fly… and some…will…swim!

Every creative movement that shatters the mould, or disrupts the status quo, is questioned in the same way. For us it’s simple, a stunning artist created 3D Neon Megalodon (for example…) that lives and learns, whose behaviour develops as it encounters other denizens of the deep, is a new and exciting form of art that offers not just ownership of an object but participation in an active and ongoing spectacle.

TANQ is the child of Tamagotchi, The Sims, Blue Planet, The Abyss and many more. A (pretty) simple idea of building a virtual fish tank, with an AI driven goldfish led to the development of the ‘Aquaverse’ a massively multiplayer aquatic universe where millions of enthusiasts and gamers show off and develop their collections, build environments and write the history of this emerging world and its inhabitants.

Nearly 80 million Tamagotchi were bought in the 80’s and 90’s, these simple ‘pets’ were cared for by children all over the world. We’re now in a future where your virtual ‘pet’ can greet you in the morning when you enter the living room or open your computer. A world where these creatures display complicated interactions with their owners and each other. A world where millions of individuals from diverse species create, together, a beguiling wonderland of simulated life and shock-of-the-new art. With TANQ virtual pets are about to evolve into something magical and appeal to your most fevered creative inspirations.

When we look back in 10 years and TANQ hosts not 80 million, but billions of individually owned virtual lifeforms, that have learned how to live together, we’ll have created one of the largest and most beautiful simulations of life anywhere on the planet.
