OVHcloud is stepping up its ambitions in artificial intelligence through a series of acquisitions. Its latest move is the planned acquisition of voice AI startup Gladia.

OVHcloud is accelerating its push into AI.

The French cloud computing provider announced that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire Gladia, a startup specializing in voice AI technologies. Neither the financial terms of the deal nor Gladia’s revenue figures were disclosed.

In a statement, OVHcloud said it had “entered into exclusive negotiations with a view to acquiring Gladia,” adding that the transaction is intended to strengthen the company’s capabilities in multimodal and agentic generative AI.

A New Acquisition Following Dragon LLM and Seald

Founded in 2022, Gladia specializes in speech-to-text technology and offers transcription services in more than 100 languages.

According to OVHcloud, the startup currently serves approximately 2,000 enterprise customers.

The acquisition marks the latest step in OVHcloud’s broader AI strategy and follows two other transactions completed in recent months.

In March, the company announced the signing of a binding agreement to acquire Dragon LLM, a platform focused on AI model customization and specialization.

Two months earlier, OVHcloud revealed the acquisition of Seald, a company specializing in end-to-end encryption technologies.

Together, these acquisitions illustrate OVHcloud’s ambition to expand beyond cloud infrastructure and strengthen its position across the AI value chain, from secure data management to generative AI and voice technologies.

By integrating Gladia’s speech recognition and transcription capabilities, OVHcloud aims to further enhance its portfolio of AI services as demand for enterprise-grade AI solutions continues to grow across Europe.
