It is no surprise that the world is flooded with terms like Metaverse, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), extended reality (XR), Web 3.0, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) among others. Virtual innovation could include gaming, advertising, and educational platforms or virtual retail shops coupled with unique virtual experiences. While the virtual world is still evolving, its potential to unleash the next wave of digital disruptions is undeniable.

We have now entered an era in which people have begun to create real values in the virtual world. We can see this every day. Think about the creator economy. This market is currently estimated at over $104.2 billion. In addition, over $120 billion were invested in metaverse technology and infrastructure in the first five months of 2022. This is more than double the $57 billion invested in 2021 overall. Today over 26,000 startups are occupying this space and to scale they need to ensure that they identify and use the right cloud infrastructure to ensure the platform they create are secure, safe, and able to scale for users.

On 22 November from 5.30pm, OVHcloud (one of a few French unicorns) and Alchemy Crew will welcome 10 startups to tell their story during OVHcloud’s #Pitch410 Startup Program, and enable investors and corporations to evaluate interesting virtual innovation propositions with unique technological capabilities. This event will bring together startups, investors, and individuals who are interested to build relevant and targeted relations.

Startups selected to pitch on our #Pitch410 stage will be able to receive up to £100,000 worth of OVHcloud credits to help them scale their operations. What does this mean? This means access to free cloud computing and technical support capabilities for one year with clear metrics around business growth.
