Seraphim Space Camp the is UK’s first dedicated accelerator for global startups in the SpaceTech industry. Backed by Seraphim Capital, the world’s first Venture Capital Fund dedicated to SpaceTech - the programme aims to get Seed and Pre-Series A SpaceTech companies “investment ready” and to facilitate corporate relationships with some of the leading Space Corporates and Agencies.
Our VC led accelerator is focused on identifying and supporting the top 2% of startups in the SpaceTech sector, who are addressing some of the biggest challenges in multiple verticals.
The Mission 6 cohort is the second programme we have delivered virtually with startups from across the UK, US and Canada. Taking place over 10 weeks, filled with workshops and one-to-one mentoring sessions with the support of our dedicated SpaceTech mentors, advisors, investors and corporate partners including the likes of Airbus, Cyient, Dentons, Dstl, ESA, SA Catapult, Sprint and UK Space Agency.
The new virtual programme has also attracted some of the world’s leading SpaceTech entrepreneurs, to deliver Keynotes, including the founders of ICEYE, Apollo Fusion, Kacific, SPIRE, HawkEye 360 and more.
The incredible progress being made by the startups culminates in our Investor Showcase Event - we are excited to introduce the seven new startups to join us. These innovative early-stage companies are addressing massive opportunities in earth observation, space infrastructure, environmental monitoring and cyber security, by utilising AI, satcoms, edge computing, autonomy software, next gen antennas, laser technology, remote sensing and more.
The UK Space industry has trebled in size since 2000 and is now one of the fastest-growing sectors in VC with $5Billion of VC investment into SpaceTech startups in 2019.
Our previous five cohorts (featuring a total of 35companies) have collectively raised over £35 million in private investment and £10 million in grants with 4 closing rounds in the last 2 months alone despite the difficult times we find ourselves in! Since completing the programme they have also created over 100 job opportunities and gone on to win prestigious awards leading industry events such as SmallSat Symposium 2020 and Paris Space Week.
