French Chamber of GB launches 2022 awards recognises excellence against a challenging backdrop

This year’s six categories reflect the priorities of the French Chamber and of its community. The awards will honour the companies that have gone above and beyond to support their people and communities, built inclusive and diverse workforces, made progress on climate change and of course nurtured the Franco-British relationship.

Applications are now open and close on the 8th of July with the award ceremony taking place on the 23rd November in London. The awards are open to all French or British businesses active in the UK and companies are invited to apply to as many categories as they would like to.

Fabienne Viala, President of the French Chamber of Great Britain, said: “The Franco-British business community is responding to uncertainty, rising costs, and the urgency of climate change with remarkable determination and resilience. Our Franco-British Business Awards celebrate this innovative spirit and the hard work of the business community to deliver jobs, growth and positive impact even in challenging times.”

The Community Impact Award will recognise a company which has demonstrated commitment to supporting local or national communities, either in France or in the UK. Its work must have had a significant, meaningful and sustainable impact on the community it supports, addressing current social challenges.

The Franco-British Collaboration Award will recognise a particularly successful example of a French and a British business working together to deliver a significant project. It will celebrate an initiative that contributes to maintaining a close relationship and continuing the collaboration between France and the UK.

The Net Zero Champion Award will recognise an organisation that is going above and beyond to champion carbon neutrality. The organisation must be able to demonstrate it has put in place a quantifiable, significant and verifiable transformation plan to achieve Net Zero.

The New Business Award will recognise an organisation which has been trading for less than three years (incorporated after January 2019) and has demonstrated strong vision, entrepreneurship and innovation since its inception. The organisation must be able to provide evidence of a compelling vision and financial plan to reach the next stage of its growth and establish itself within its market.

The Diversity & Inclusion Award will recognise an organisation that is going above and beyond to champion diversity and inclusion. The organisation must be able to demonstrate quantifiable, significant and verifiable steps to promote and achieve a diverse, inclusive and equitable workforce.

The Coup de Cœur Award will recognise a candidate that, whilst not winning within a category, has impressed the jury members with the quality of its initiative. The award may be awarded by the Jury to any of the applicants in any of the categories and only one Coup de Cœur may be awarded across the entire competition.
